GeorgiaCarry.Org Endorses Representative Kirby in Reelection Bid

LOGANVILLE (October 6, 2014) | GeorgiaCarry.Org recently awarded Representative Tom Kirby (R-Loganville) their endorsement for his diligent efforts to protect Second Amendment rights.

Jerry Henry, Executive Director of the organization, said:

On behalf of the Board of Directors and members of GeorgiaCarry.Org, I am pleased to inform you of your endorsement of your candidacy for reelection to Georgia House District 114.

We appreciate your continued support of the Second Amendment, your dedication to protect our individual right to self-defense and your dedication to restore our rights as originally enumerated in the bill of rights of the State of Georgia and US Constitutions. We feel that you will continue to be ever vigilant while serving in the Georgia General Assembly.

Thank you for your continued stance against excessive government regulation.

In the 2013 Georgia General Assembly Legislative Session, Rep. Kirby carried HB 335, the Restoring Private Property Rights for Places of Worship of 2013. The bill would have repealed bans on carrying firearms in places of worship, which was later incorporated into HB 60 of 2014, the Safe Carry Protection Act.

Rep. Kirby is proud to receive the support of the state’s preeminent pro-Second Amendment organization: “Georgia Carry has been a leading advocate for protecting our Second Amendment rights here in Georgia.  I am extremely pleased to have received their endorsement and am committed to defending the rights of all our citizens.”

Representative Tom Kirby represents the citizens of District 114, which includes portions of Barrow, Gwinnett, Rockdale, and Walton counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2012, and serves as the Vice Chairman on the Human Relations & Aging Committee, Co-Chairman of the Unemployment Subcommittee, and Secretary on the Industry and Labor Committee. He also serves on the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs and the Small Business Development committees.
