TOM KIRBY ANNOUNCES RE-ELECTION BID FOR HOUSE DISTRICT 114
LOGANVILLE (March 7, 2016) Today, Representative Tom Kirby (R-Loganville) announced his intentions to seek re-election for Georgia State House District 114.
“We have a lot to be proud of but we must remain vigilant to keep government off our backs as we constantly push back on Washington. I look forward to hitting the campaign trail and listening to the concerns of the voters in all counties of District 114” Kirby said.
He cited recent victories in this current session, such as his co-sponsorship of H.B. 859 and 1060, both defending your 2nd amendment rights. These bills recently passed the House and continue to reinforce the rights of Georgians to defend themselves. Kirby also sponsored H.B. 697, which requires solicitors to receive affirmative assent for the continuation of certain goods and services. The legislation is an important initiative to protect seniors that are often billed following a free trial.
“It is truly an honor to serve the citizens of District 114. I will continue to fight for our conservative values as their Representative.” said Kirby. “From protecting our religious liberties, preserving our Constitution to creating a dynamic workforce in Georgia, I will remain steadfast in the battle against the liberal agenda.”
The Republican primary will be on May 24.
Representative Tom Kirby represents the citizens of District 114, which includes portions of Barrow, Gwinnett, Rockdale, and Walton counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2012, and serves as the Vice Chairman on the Human Relations & Aging Committee and Secretary on the Industry and Labor Committee. He also serves on the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs and the Small Business Development committees.
